When you start as a graduate, even though you know quite a few things, your knowledge is very limited. I think the people who have been there for longer have a broader understanding of how things work, and that’s what it did for me.
It gave me that appreciation of it being a bigger business than just my desk, a pile of bigger functions that all need to work together.
I think it is definitely a dynamic environment. It makes it a more exciting day to come in and be able to chat, and make new friends as well. You learn more about how life is in all these parts of the world, which I like. It gives you validation for your hard work. When you start, the learning curve is really steep. You have to work super hard in the beginning to learn and there are so many things happening around you. You’re expected to catch up really quickly.
