This innovative mindset has enabled us to deliver game-changing payment solutions from our grab+go app that lets you simply grab the things you want to buy, scan their barcodes using the camera on your smartphone, and go. Pay @ Pump, a trial which saw a self-service beer pump with contactless built in, allowed people to pour and pay for their own pint in less than a minute. No need to visit the checkout – the app sorts out the payment in the background.
Our Omni Channel business looks after all channels through which we connect with customers. This includes anything from branches and digital banking to apps and telephony services. We have already seen a lot of change in our channels and keep working on new and innovative ways to improve customer experience and help each one of our customers navigate our channels as easily and seamlessly as possible. As part of our Omni Channel business, you will work on our strategic transformation and digital journey as we continue to scale our business to become even more digitally savvy. You could also design the different solutions and ways in which we can improve our customers’ experience through all of our channels or empower them through our Eagle Labs, a resource we have set up to help both small businesses and communities grow in the digital age.
We design and deliver innovative products to make our customers’ lives easier. By joining us, you could be helping customers to make, take and manage payments via smart devices (think phones, smartwatches and tablets) as part of our Mobile Payments team, or empowering small enterprises and individuals to grow their businesses by using Smart Business Insights - a tool we developed to provide local insights using big data technology.
We support two customer segments: Premier and Community Banking. For both segments, we develop tailored propositions that help our customers and clients move forwards with their lives. We do this by researching and understanding what they want and then developing services, products and propositions that meet, and hopefully exceed, their expectations.
Today, Barclaycard International enables companies to pay for goods, promote and sell their products and never miss a sale. We have relationships with 350,000 small businesses as well as a number of multinational brands. In a typical day we process 25 million transactions worth £1.2 billion.
We are a portfolio of three distinct businesses serving the b2b2c market. We support merchants by enabling them to take payments, manage their own spend and by providing point of sale finance to their customers. We also have dedicated teams focused on emerging payment trends driven by our own heritage of innovation.
