What to expect

As a Spring Analyst you’ll spend one week discovering how Barclays is redefining the future of finance through cutting-edge technological innovation. You’ll see how we collaborate to meet the needs of customers and the business, and how ground-breaking FinTech ideas are conceived and created. If you enjoy this unique experience and want a deeper insight, there may be the chance to return for our nine-week Summer Analyst role in the subsequent year.

How you’ll develop

Over the course of the week, you will take an immersive journey, with projects, immersive workshops, work shadowing, tech-inspired interactive skills sessions. Tech insight sessions are held daily and cover everything from cyber security to SIRI payments. You’ll also get to network with senior leaders and some of the industry’s top tech minds.

Who thrives here?

Those who are digitally curious, disruptive and keen to leverage and build new technology that improves the services we provide to millions of our customers worldwide.

We are looking for both Technology inspired talent who either want to develop the Technology of the future (Developer) as well as those who are keen to implement and explore new opportunities to leverage from game changing Technology (Tech Analyst).

Our Tech Spring week cater for both interests, therefore we welcome those with coding interest/expertise, as well as those who simply have a fascination for Technology, an inquisitive mind and a thirst for shaping the future of FinTech.

Application Process

1. Register your interest

All you have to do to begin with is research which of the Spring opportunities suits your skills and ambitions, and then tell us you’re interested. That’s it. Give us your CV and a few basic details, helping us to make sure we’re doing everything we can do to encourage diversity, and we’ll get back in touch to let you know what happens next.

2. Business Scenario

During this stage you’ll be provided with a number of realistic scenarios giving you a real insight into what you’ll expect as part of our Spring Insight week and helping you understand our industry.

Unlike the other assessments you might have tried, our innovative platform means this isn’t just an exercise in how fast you can type. You’ll find multiple choice questions and space to record video responses too. This way we can get a fairer impression of how you work and what motivates you.
