Structuring is client facing as well as product focused. It’s where we develop and deliver customised products and solutions for large investors and financial institutions. And it’s where you’ll get an unusually well-rounded view of our work while developing a range of vital skills.
- Applications for 2020 will open September 2019.
What to expect
A Structuring team has broad responsibilities and works closely with Sales and Trading. So expect to experience many aspects of our business and learn about different roles within the Bank. Whatever your skills, you’ll be able to put them to good use. For instance, you’ll make the most of your technical skills when you support us on pricing and product analysis. And when you collaborate with our Origination team, you’ll hone your skills in marketing and sales.
How you'll develop
During the internship Structuring Team will make sure that you experience most of (if not all) the areas of business that we cover. You can expect to have your progress and development closely monitored, but working very closely with a designated supervisor.
How you’ll develop
We’ll make sure you experience most (if not all) of the business areas that Structuring covers as you rotate across the function. From day one, you’ll start building the know-how you need to get your internship off to a flying start. And you’ll always be able to count on support from senior in-house experts as well as a designated supervisor who’ll work closely with you and monitor your progress. Performance coaching, social events and the chance to take part in projects outside of Structuring will also help you expand your network and develop. Do well and, at the end of the Summer Internship, we may offer you a place as a full-time Structuring Analyst.
Who thrives here
You don’t need any experience of the financial markets or business. But it’s vital that you do have a strong interest in the financial markets and a thirst to learn about them. You’ll also need to combine technical ability with people skills.
