Overcoming Change: How to Ace your Virtual Interview
Welcome to a new age of virtual interviewing at Barclays.

Name: Kamila Samin, Wealth & Investments
I joined Barclays in August 2017 on the Wealth & Investments Graduate Scheme. For my first rotation, I was fortunate enough to be placed in a Front Office team, supporting Wealth Managers as they build and grow client relationships. I developed a range of skills including presentation, analysis and a greater understanding of the wider macroeconomic environment. And the diverse culture within Barclays Wealth Management allowed me to build a network of colleagues from all over the business.
Beyond developing professional skills, graduates get many other fantastic opportunities. Because I have a Law degree, I was able to complete the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) as part of my initial training programme, expanding my technical knowledge. But the learning doesn’t stop there – I’m now also studying for the CFA exam in June(!).
Understandably, studying and working at the same time keeps me busy. But I always keep an eye out for other events and opportunities that I can get involved in at Barclays. I attend regular WIN events, get involved with citizenship agendas, and work on projects with other graduates from across the bank. Recently, a small group of us delivered a successful pitch to a senior panel which included Ian Rand, CEO of the Business Bank.
My experience as a graduate at Barclays so far has been exciting, challenging and engaging. The opportunities presented both by my rotation and the wider network have been limitless. And 2018 promises to be no different!
