But through many engaging conversations and debates, the time and commitment of trainees and the Early Careers team is really beginning to grow our programme in to an exciting space.
I have recently undergone a challenging transition, making the move from the branch network to a head office role. I am now in the Barclaycard Strategy team, and am thriving on this fantastic opportunity. It’s an interesting combination placing a Barclays Degree Programme Trainee in to a role like strategy. In Strategy however, I am learning a completely new skill set.
Working in a brilliantly fast paced team, I have been getting a real feel for how a business really works, through research and analysis of various business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Having only been there for four weeks, I am really pleased with the progress I have made. I am really looking forward to the point where I am completely settled in to the role, so I can start to showcase in full what a Barclays Degree Programme Trainee can bring to a team.
After a busy month or so, I must admit I am looking forward to a more relaxed March, where I have a week holiday (especially as it’s my birthday!)
